Join our Advisory Board 

The Women's Business Center of Northern Ohio is seeking visionary, dynamic Advisory Board members, with a deep understanding of Cleveland, who can add value to the mission and goals of the WBC. Strategic and Innovative individuals with proficient problem-solving and communication skills are encouraged to apply. 

 

Responsibilities: 

• Serve as an active ambassador to regional partners on behalf of WBC and leverage networks and connections 

• Mentor WBC staff  

• Actively participate in important WBC events 

• Participate in fundraising activities 

• Stay informed on best practices that will assist in the goals and mission of WBC  

 

Time Demands (Approximate): 

• Prepare for, attend and conscientiously participate in all Council meetings (1.5 hours) ​

• ​Attend and actively participate in the annual fundraiser (3-4 hours annually) 

• Meet with potential donors/funders to make a case for funding the organization, answer questions, etc. (4 hours annually) 

 

Financial and Resource Development Expectations: 

• Through personal or professional resources, secure a minimum of $2,500 per year 

• Sell tickets to fundraising events 

• Recruit sponsors, as needed 

• Identify and cultivate potential donors ​​
